Milford has preserved the charms of its natural setting and historic downtown while creating a modern infrastructure that makes it a great place to live, work, play and grow. The city hosts a variety of events including a Memorial Day Parade, Frontier Days Festival and Parade (the first weekend in June), Antique Exhibit and Sales events each spring, summer and fall, and the Old Mill District Christmas Walk.

Our community came into being on July 12, 1984 when it was incorporated as the Miami Woods Owners Association.  Miami Woods is nestled along the Little Miami River on 68 rolling wooded acres.  Miami Woods Landominiums are both distinctive and rustically elegant.  This quiet community of cedar-clad homes offers a permanent vacation surrounded by woods with lake and river views.

The community's wooded setting is complimented by two lakes linked by a creek.  Besides the water's aesthetic value, it is part of an energy-saving geothermal heating and cooling system.  Miami Woods is a quiet paradise overlooking Ohio's only federally designated Scenic River.  Residents enjoy easy access to the Little Miami Bike Trail, canoeing, and fishing.  With numerous large mature trees, Miami Woods is a nature lover's dream.

Miami Woods residents are predominantly retirees and empty nesters. Residents enjoy leading an active lifestyle; cycling and walking their dogs.  It's not uncommon to see neighbors out walking, chatting with one another and enjoying the outdoors. Informal social gatherings of neighbors are also common.

As the neighborhood matures, our attention will invariably turn from issues of muddy streets and construction dust to maintenance and improvement issues. This is to be expected as Miami Woods is a community of people who care about their families, care about their neighbors, care about their community. We are always looking for ways to enhance our neighborhood and the quality of life it provides to all who are lucky enough to call it home.
